Configuration files

From cdec Decoder

Jump to: navigation, search

Configuration files are short text files used to configure the behavior of the decoder. All options can be controlled from the command line, but it is often more convenient (and in some cases, like training, necessary) to capture some options in a configuration file.

The format is simple name=value pairs, with comments on lines starting with a #.

Example:

formalism=scfg
grammar=/fs/clip-dissertation/cdyer/ftrans/arabic/mt05.grammar.gz

# the following is necessary to handle OOV words:
add_pass_through_rules=true

# extra feature functions:
feature_function=LanguageModel /fs/clip-dissertation/cdyer/ftrans/arabic/a2e.en.3gram.lm.gz -o 3
feature_function=WordPenalty
